The centre can offer to run courses covering aspects of the Primary Curriculum. We can also offer specialist work. All courses are tailored to the schools needs and requirements which are discussed in full at the essential pre-visit planning session. We emphasise again that the following pages are only examples of the types of course available. We can organise on-site activities or arrange supervised trips to nearby sites of interest to enhance the weeks programme. Specialist instructors can be bought in to enhance the course such as African Drummers and willow weaving. A minibus can be used to access nearby activities. Key stage 1 and 2 are catered for. We also run courses for S.E.N. schools and centres. Further information can be given on request. Themed weeks can also be planned for, which have included European Week, Roman Week, Environmental Arts Week including The John Muir Award, Victorian Week and Medieval Week. These weeks include special menus and activities. We encourage schools to leave a display of their experiences for others to enjoy and learn from. Schools can use centre digital cameras to record their stay. These photos shown to the children in a slideshow and are copied to CD for the schools to take back with them. The following link will allow you to view and print a concept map to help with the planning of a course.
